LabRenew has received significant funding from Cell Signaling Technology to help do exactly that.

Support from an organization that understands sustainable science
Cell Signaling Technology’s environmental giving supports organizations working to create measurable environmental impact — and it comes from a company with sustainability embedded in its own corporate responsibility efforts.
Since 2021, CST reports contributing nearly $1 million through its annual global giving initiative toward efforts that include environmental protection and humanitarian aid. For LabRenew, that makes this support especially meaningful.

LabRenew also recognizes Krystyna Hincman for helping make the opportunity possible. Hincman began her CST career as a research scientist before moving into work focused on the company’s people, culture, sustainability, and corporate responsibility. In September 2025, LabRenew and CST partnered on Lab Procurement 2.0, a hands-on workshop designed to help laboratories make more sustainable and strategic purchasing decisions. That’s where the impact of support like this becomes tangible.
A purchasing decision can prevent unnecessary waste. A better process can reduce energy use. Education can give scientists and lab teams practical changes they can take back to their own organizations. And one improvement can become a practice that continues long after a workshop ends.
What happens next
LabRenew plans to use the funding to expand programs, increase educational outreach, and create measurable environmental impact. That means helping more scientists and laboratory teams see where opportunities exist — and giving them practical ways to act on them.
